Parking
The carpark at Bantham is approximately 100m from the beach with capacity for over 1000 cars, and is an easy walk over the sand dunes.
Car park charges apply from February half term until 31st October approx.

The carpark fee is a flat rate charge for the day. All cars must be removed from the carpark by 9pm during the high season. At other times the gate is locked earlier dependent on daylight hours.

The season tickets are registered to a particular vehicle and are not transferable. Please buy all tickets from the gatekeeper at the entrance. Car parking remains free between November and February half term.

The Sloop Inn

Bantham Village Stores
There is a small shop located near the top of the village with an outside seating area with panoramic views serving coffee and refreshments. The shop can supply all your needs for a day on the beach or a longer stay in the area.Tel: 01548 560645

Dogs
Dogs are allowed at Bantham all year round; however, restrictions do apply between May 1st and September 30th.During these months dogs are not allowed on the main beach.Dogs are always permitted on the beach beside the estuary, which at low tide can extend to many acres. The dog beach is difficult to access at high tide.
The gatekeeper will be happy to give directions to dog walkers on arrival. The area is clearly signed.
Ferry
There is a seasonal ferry crossing the river Avon, running from Bantham slipway to Cockleridge Ham (Bigbury-on-sea).

Lifeguard Cover
There is RNLI lifeguard cover on Bantham Beach from May to October - 10.00am to 6.00pm.
Bantham Surf Life Saving Club is committed to providing a safe beach and aquatic environment for the community, whilst developing life saving skills through the education and training of its members.
